Betta unimaculata est originaire du Kalimantan de l'est qui vit dans des rivières, des étangs et des rivières isolées, claires et fluides dans la forêt. Unimaculata est une couveuse buccale (stocke les œufs dans la bouche)

Betta unimaculata merupakan endemik asli Kalimantan Timur yang hidup di sungai yang terisolasi, jernih, mengalir lancar, kolam dan sungai di dalam hutan. Unimaculata merupakan mouthbrooder (menyimpan telur di mulut)
